Well as long as your here you may as well know that the Southtowns Walleye Association is going to be holding it's Annual Kids Catch & Release Derby on Saturday, July 19th, 2008. The Event will be held at the Tifft Nature Preserve on Route 5 across from the NFTA Small Boat Harbor. For those
who don't travel that section often, here's a little heads up . . . that whole area is part of the new reconstruction along the Buffalo Waterfront and it is all torn up with detours and the like. Leave early and avoid the traffic and confusion !Sign-in starts at 7:00am, fishing
is from 8:00am till 11:00am followed by a lunch break and the Awards. It's a great time for all those involed, especially the kids, come on down and join us !
Our speaker for the June 5th General Membership Meeting will be Todd Schroder from Fishlander. Not only has Fishlander been an excellent Tournament Sponsor for many years but they also have been sending a representative to give a
seminar to our members, just prior to our Tournament, for a bunch of years. So far they have NOT disappointed ! Come on down to the meeting and see what we mean.
A special Walleye thanks goes out to Captain Randy Even for his very informative talk on the new Slide Divers and how to use them. Hope you guys and gals can use that information to win some money in our Tournament !
Don't forget to scroll down and check out the Knot-of-the-Day. Some are old some are new but I'm sure everyone can find a knot that they can use. Check back soon because each day will give you a new one !

We have also included links that will allow you to find your NYS Assemblyman or
Senator, including phone numbers, mailing addresses and e-mail addresses to make contacting them that much easier.
If you are in favor of or oppose to any of these bills, write a letter to your Assemblyman, Congressman, or Governor stating your views.
It's YOUR government, don't just sit there and watch it . . . make a call or write a letter and make something happen.
That's how the "anti's" get things done and I'm sure that their take on the issues are quite different from yours and mine!
